The Water Park of America in Bloomington will host a free event for more than 120 families whose loved ones have a neuromuscular disease.
The park is hosting the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s fall party on Sunday afternoon.
The association says the event will give families in the muscular dystrophy community a chance to socialize and look past their disease.
The association works to beat muscular dystrophy by raising funds for research and services. It’s funded almost entirely through individual donations.
The group also provides a free week of summer camp to children in the Twin Cities area who have neuromuscular diseases.
